THCA stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid and it is the precursor to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). When cannabis is growing it makes cannabinoids as carboxylic acids that most often convert into non-acidic compounds through a process called decarboxylation. Almost all cannabinoids start off in their acidic form which have differing structures and effects than that of their non-acidic versions.

In simpler term THCA flower is regular THC Flower. its just a “legal term” used since the farm bill said THC has to be .3% to be considered “HEMP” but our law makers didn’t realize when growing Cannabis flower the plant produces THCA not THC. which makes Legal under the law if the plant was harvested and cured perfectly to keep the THCA from converting to THC.

This is also why when you make edibles with flower you have to  heat it up to decarboxylate it.  Turning the THCA to THC
